Skipton Sports Injury Clinic

Covid 19 Information

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, we have had to change the way we practice to ensure we are doing everything we can to keep both ourselves as the therapist and you as the patient safe and minimise the risk of spreading the infection.
We are constantly keeping up to date with the fast changing Government Guidelines and following the lead of our Governing Body, The Society of Sports Therapists.
Below is detailed what we have been busy doing to get everything ready for reopening and what we have put in place to help reduce the risks.

  • All patients are required to participate in a screening process before any face to face appointment is carried out
  • We are complying with the one way system of entry and exit implemented by the Sports Centre
  • We are asking patients to attend their appointment alone and at the correct time and if arriving early, to wait in their cars
  • We will provide hand sanitiser on arrival and request that all patients use this before entering the clinic
  • We are providing a plastic box for personal belongings that will be sanitised between every appointment
  • We have left a 15 minute gap in between patients, ensuring enough time to thoroughly clean and sanitise the chairs, couch, door handles, equipment
  • We will ensure the clinic room is fully ventilated by keeping the window open during appointments
  • We are asking that all patients come appropriately dressed for their appointment
  • We will be wearing full PPE throughout the appointments and maintaining social distancing wherever possible
  • We will be using single use towels for each appointment before placing them in a closed container and washing them at 60 degrees at the end of every day
  • We will be taking contactless card payment wherever possible
  • We are asking patients to please provide and wear their own face coverings to appointments

We really hope that despite all these changes that we can make your appointment feel as comfortable as possible, and have confidence that we can do so with your cooperation.
If you have any questions regarding appointments or our protocols then please contact Sarah on 07530178678 and she will be happy to talk.
